Upcoming Events: 15th annual Barking Spider Bash

Boise, Id, Saturday April 10- Trail run and XC mountain biking. This is the season opener for Wild Rockies Series Cross-Country events. Runners start out at 9am with a 6.5mi. trail run course. All others start around noon. Beginners will do one lap, sports two laps and Pro/experts do three. Look forward to awesome raffles and great beverages after the races, sponsored by Wild Rockies. Free kids race followed by awards. This is high desert racing at its finest! Come and watch all the action on this spectator friendly course. Knobby Tire Series Coyote classic XC

Boise, Id, Sat, May 8- XC Mountain biking only, this is a (points) race for Wild Rockies Series. Here you find a truly awesome course for the beginner racer, all the way to the PRO level. 8 mile Race course goes through giant sagebrush and creeks with lots of rolling elevation. 2nd annual Velopark STXC and Dual Slalom championship Boise, Id, Sat/Sun May 20-30- Short -Track XC Mountain biking, and Dual Slalom Mountain biking. We are going to do the STATE Championship Dual race at 12:30pm on Sunday. The course was designed by the World champ himself-- Mr. Eric Carter. Idaho State championship short track XC starts out at 12pm Saturday with a 2K trail circuit. Beginners will do twenty minutes, sports thirty, and Pro/experts do forty min. Duke Foundation is providing a great lunch and tasty beverages after the races. Free kids race followed by awards on Saturday. Another spectator friendly environment!! www.wildrockiesracing.com

13th annual Idaho City MTB Tour

Formerly know as (Cycle Idaho). Sat/Sun June 19-20. A Recreational Boise to Idaho city adventure at its finest with proceeds benefiting SWIMBA, as well as Idaho Velodrome Cycling Park. This group ride begins and ends at Fort Boise Armory. We take care of every logistical aspect, all you have to do is show up with your gear, ride your bike and enjoy the scenery. All meals and snacks provided in the cost. Sag wagon available to those who want to do a shorten variation of the tour. 45mi each day with 18,000 vertical ft. total for the weekend. 3th annual Jug Mtn Ranch Race McCall, Id. Saturday, June 26- Here we have a sweet, 10 mi. XC bike and trail run course that is tremendous fun for the Beginner rider all the way to the top Pro racers. We encourage first timers to come try this classic mountain bike race. Runners begin at 9am and MTB at noon. This event is a good way to introduce you and your friends to the racing scene!! 20th annual Brundage Mountain Bike Festival McCall, Id, Fri/Sat/Sun July 3-4 XC Mountain biking and State Championship Super D/ Downhill Mountain biking. Check out Brundage Mountain Resort, which is a full service ski resort in the winter about 11mi. from scenic McCall. We are going to do the cross-country race at 10:30pm on Saturday. Racers start out all together Lemans style and everybody does the same 8.5mi course- (one little loop, one big loop and one little loop.) After that race is done we’ll have a mass start Super D with start around 1pm, ride the chairlift and experience the thrill of Growler trail and a 15 min. mix of XC and DH. Look forward to a great lunch provided by the resort, following the races on Saturday. Free kids race followed by awards on Saturday. TBDetermined- Schweitzer Mtn. Resort DH

There is a possibly of (Wild Rockies) points offered at the tentative downhill at Schweitzer Mtn. Resort in Sandpoint Id. We will keep you posted on the date coming at the end of July. The Fluidride Cup is held in conjunction with Hurricane Racing, Ndub productions, and run by long time Race Director Petr Kakes. This is a dream come true for our crew and countless other gravity freaks around the PNW and beyond. With four of the six races counting toward the overall “CUP”, any rider wanting to give the series a go should have a crack at the overall title. www.fluidride.com

12th annual Pomerelle Pounder

Albion, Id, Sat/Sun DH ONLY Aug 2-3 (2-day downhill mountain biking event that is a points round of the Wild Rockies Championship DH Series) Be ready to race for the glory on two different, but equally challenging downhill race courses. Pro riders compete for the title of Pro Pounder with extra cash at stake. There is a sweet raffle going out to all competitors and breakfast/lunch will be available at the main lodge. Look for start times around 12pm on both days. Saturday’s race course is steep and rocky, while Sunday is flat out speed and tight slalom style run. www.go-ride.com

5th annual XTERRA Wild Ride Triathlon

McCall, Id, Sunday August 22 (featuring a National caliber off road tri-event with a 3/4mi. swim, 19.5mi. mountain bike and 10K trail run, individual competition and 2/3- person teams). This is part of the America Tour national point’s series for XTERRA. Enjoy the best of Central Idaho with deep, dark trails and gorgeous, scenic views. Any regular Wild Rockies Series competitor who completes the entire event will receive the equivalent of third-place Wild Rockies points in their respective class for finishing this bad boy, and of course XTERRA America Tour points and a whole lot of cool prizes will also be dispensed. If you finish as part of a team, you'll get the equivalent of seventh place Wild Rockies points. Central Idaho Mountain Bike Association will host the BBQ and you can help raise $$ for local trail systems. More info at www.xterraplanet.com

Bogus Basin Resort Championship Trail Run presented by SHU's Idaho Running Company Boise, Id. Friday, September 3 Running Options: 10k trail run or 20k trail run ($50 to fastest male and female runners in 20k) Starts and finishes at Bogus Basin Mountain Resort Nordic lodge at 6pm FRIDAY evening. You can expect to gain 1000 vertical feet over a 10K course that circumnavigates Bogus Basin Resort Nordic trails. Pick up the orange trail arrows from the Nordic lodge area and head off towards the lower loops, then over to chair #5. From there you follow Sapper’s Return back to the lodge. Bogus Basin Kamikaze Downhill, Hari-Kari Short Track XC, the Wild Rockies Series final, Boise, Id. Sat/Sun, September 4-5 This is the series championship for Wild Rockies which means double points for XC and DH. All events are located at Bogus Basin Resort; this is 16 MILES north from downtown Boise, Id. on Bogus Basin Rd. We’ll begin with the short track event starting at 11am and should be done by 2pm. Then we’ll proceed with Downhill practice. Downhill racers should be starting at 2pm on Sunday. You’ll experience the new course at Bogus, which descends from the upper lodge to the lower lodge through rock beds and naughty little drop offs. Compete in all the weekend events and receive a custom Wild Rockies prize!! Do you have what it takes to be the Iron Samurai?
